A sex tape posted online is not of Tiffany “New York” Pollard, she says, and the editor of the web site that posted it is now backing away from its insistence that it is her. “It is absolutely not me. Do I strike you as the kind of woman who would have a sex tape floating around out there and not be standing by that tape?” she told the New York Post.
She says that if it was her, she’d gladly admit it. “I’m a strong black woman and if I did something like this I would ‘fess up. If I had a sex tape, I’d say when I did it and who I did it with — I have nothing to hide. Nobody runs my world other than myself and whatever I do in this lifetime, good or bad, I will own it and I will not own that tape because it’s not me. Look at Paris Hilton or Kim Kardashian, they have sex tapes and it catapulted them into the limelight. A sex tape today does not equal disaster. If I did have a sex tape, I wouldn’t deny it.”
Tiffany says she might sue MediaTakeOut.com, the site that posted the video clip. “I want them to suffer. It is not me on that tape and they’re going to get what they deserve.” Fred Mwangaguhunga, the site’s editor, told the Post, “MediaTakeOut.com was told that the woman in the video is Tiffany ‘New York’ Pollard. And while we can’t be 100 percent sure, it sure as heck looks like New York.”
Perhaps he should have written that in the story, instead of stating unequivocally that it was true and then backing away from that later. The story said “MediaTakeOut.com managed to get its hands on an explicit tape of Tiffany ‘New York’ Pollard and one of our readers. According to our reader, he and New York met up at a Miami club a few months ago and the two of them had a … A-HEM … romantic encounter together. It’s not clear whether New York was aware that they’re encounter was being taped.”
