HOT BOYS REUNION SHOT DOWN LITERALLY

The highly-anticipated Hot Boys reunion performance that was supposed to go down on Sunday night (February 17) at Dream nightclub in New Orleans for NBA All-Star Weekend was canceled before it had a catch of taking place.According to reports, the show -- which would have featured Lil Wayne, B.G., Juvenile and Mannie Fresh -- was halted due to a shooting that took place outside the venue during the early morning hours of Monday (February 18).Reports indicate that two 24-year-old women and a 26-year-old man were shot by an unknown assailant at around 1:00 a.m.Local police said that the victims were standing on the sidewalk when the gunshots rang out. They were taken to an area hospital very quickly after the incident and are expected to recover. The shooting however cause the venue to be shut down and the event was canceled.According to MTV, none of the four Hot Boys were even at the venue during the time of the shooting. But the channel was able to catch up with Weezy later that night, who said that a Hot Boys reunion is "only a phone call away."The scheduled performance would have been the first time the group would have stepped on stage together in seven years. Although the entire group wouldn't be there -- because original member Turk is currently incarcerated -- Mannie Fresh was called in to take his place. Also affected by the shooting was R&B singer Tank, who was arrested after the incident when he and a female companion were allegedly "harassed" by police when they attempted to enter the area, resulting in the singer being tased and arrested.
