January 15, 2008. Violence erupted backstage at the Chris Brown concert in Dallas over the weekend. MediaTakeOut.com EXCLUSIVELY learned that Bow Wow and Chris Brown had an argument - and during the argument Bow Wow .
The problems started when Bow Wow had technical problems with the microphone during his performance. A tour insider tells MediaTakeOut.com, "When he finished his set he went crazy ... He blamed [Chris Brown's] people for trying to sabotage his performance."
And when Chris came in to try and calm the situation, things went from bad to worse. The insider explained MediaTakeOut.com, "Chris was apologizing and trying to explain what went wrong, but Bow Wow kept yelling."
Finally someone pulled Bow Wow away - but before he was ushered away, the pint-sized rapper spit in Chris Brown's face. The witness told MediaTakeOut.com, "I don't think he meant to spit on Chris, but that's what he did ... Everyone just went quiet, because no one could believe what this little [EXPLETIVE] did. I personally thought that it was going to be on and poppin', but Chris just walked away and got ready to go on stage."
The insider continued, "I have to give [Chris Brown] a lot of respect, he knew that the concert and the fans were most important and so he didn't do anything to mess things up. Props to that dude."
The incident reportedly occurred Saturday night in Dallas. Both Bow Wow and Chris Brown performed in New Orleans and the two are both expected to continue touring.

Dozens Report UFO Over Texas Town

STEPHENVILLE, Texas, Jan. 15, 2008
AP) In this farming community where nightfall usually brings clear, starry skies, residents are abuzz over reported sightings of what many believe is a UFO.
Several dozen people - including a pilot, county constable and business owners - insist they have seen a large silent object with bright lights flying low and fast. Some reported seeing fighter jets chasing it.
"People wonder what in the world it is because this is the Bible Belt, and everyone is afraid it's the end of times," said Steve Allen, a freight company owner and pilot who said the object he saw last week was a mile long and half a mile wide. "It was positively, absolutely nothing from these parts."
While federal officials insist there's a logical explanation, locals swear that it was larger, quieter, faster and lower to the ground than an airplane. They also said the object's lights changed configuration, unlike those of a plane. People in several towns who reported seeing it over several weeks have offered similar descriptions of the object.
Machinist Ricky Sorrells said friends made fun of him when he told them he saw a flat, metallic object hovering about 300 feet over a pasture behind his Dublin home. But he decided to come forward after reading similar accounts in the Stephenville Empire-Tribune.
"You hear about big bass or big buck in the area, but this is a different deal," Sorrells said. "It feels good to hear that other people saw something, because that means I'm not crazy."
Sorrells said he's seen the object several times. He said he watched it through his rifle's telescopic lens and described it as very large and without seams, nuts or bolts.
Maj. Karl Lewis, a spokesman for the 301st Fighter Wing at the Joint Reserve Base Naval Air Station in Fort Worth, said no F-16s or other aircraft from his base were in the area the night of Jan. 8, when many sightings were reported.
Lewis said the object may have been an illusion caused by two commercial airplanes. Lights from the aircraft would seem unusually bright and may appear orange due to the setting sun.
"I'm 90 percent sure this was an airliner," Lewis said. "With the sun's angle, it can play tricks on you."
I think it must be some kind of military craft — at least I hope it was.
Lee Roy Gaitan,
Erath County ConstableOfficials at the region's two Air Force bases - Dyess in Abilene and Sheppard in Wichita Falls - also said none of their aircraft were in the area last week. The Air Force no longer investigates UFOs.
About 200 UFO sightings are reported each month, mostly in California, Colorado and Texas, according to the Mutual UFO Network, which plans to go to the 17,000-resident town of Stephenville to investigate.
Fourteen percent of Americans polled last year by The Associated Press and Ipsos say they have seen a UFO.
UFO sightings have been reported all over the world for centuries, including the infamous 1897 crash of a cigar-shaped object near the tiny Texas town of Aurora. While some thought it was a hoax, decades later investigators from UFO groups said evidence suggests the disfigured pilot's body buried that day was an alien.
In Chicago in late 2006, some United Airlines pilots and other employees reported seeing a saucer-shaped craft hovering over O'Hare Airport before shooting up through the clouds. But federal officials said nothing showed up on the radar and explained it as some type of weather phenomenon.
In 1997, dozens of people saw lights in a V-formation over Phoenix, a mystery that was captured on videotape and spurred calls for a government investigation. A few months later people reported a similar sight over Las Vegas.
One of the most famous cases was the 1947 crash on a ranch near Roswell, N.M. Although the government said it was a top-secret weather balloon, an Army officer who helped recover the debris came forward 30 years later claiming a cover-up, asserting that an alien spacecraft had crashed. Reports later surfaced that a base nurse told someone that autopsies were performed on aliens from the wreckage.
A few months after the New Mexico incident the U.S. Air Force started Project Blue Book, which investigated more than 12,600 reported UFO sightings - including 700 that were never explained - before the program ended in 1969.
Erath County Constable Lee Roy Gaitan, who said he isn't sure about the existence of UFOs, said one night last week he first saw red glowing lights and then white flashing lights moving rapidly across the sky.
"I didn't see a flying saucer and I don't know what it was, but it wasn't an airplane and I've never seen anything like it," Gaitan said. "I think it must be some kind of military craft - at least I hope it was."

Exclusive: Ne-Yo on his beef with R. Kelly

After his dismissal from a national tour, R&B sensation Ne-Yo opens up about what really happened between him and The Pied Piper
Credit: Ellen VonUnwerth
Scour the R&B section of any record store and you’re bound to find Sharrif “Ne-Yo” Smith’s blueprint for chart-topping hits on one of your favorite albums. In fact, the platinum-selling artist and prolific songwriter is such a hot commodity that veterans (Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Usher, Celine Dione, BeyoncĂ©,) and new jacks (Rihanna, Chris Brown, Mario, Jennifer Hudson) alike are vying for his Midas touch. Last year, the Las Vegas wunderkind somehow found enough time to put down his pen and pad to infiltrate Tinseltown with a silver screen debut in the blockbuster, Stomp The Yard. ESSENCE.com caught up with the prince of R&B to discuss his real beef with R. Kelly, losing a son and grown-folks business.
Essence.com: Happy New Year! What are you up to?
Ne-Yo: I’m in Washington, D.C., rehearsing for a performance for a Michael Jackson tribute. I’ll be singing “Lady of My Life.”
Essence.com: You’re always working! And I hear you never complain. Is that true?
N.Y.: Complain for what? I am blessed to be doing what I do. So if I have to be at a photo shoot, do an interview, or make a TV appearance I am not going to sit around whining and complaining about how I don’t want to get up early or I don’t feel like talking. It’s part of the job. I don’t understand when artists are complaining about doing their job. It’s like, Are you serious? All you have to do is get on the phone and have a conversation, or show up and have your photo taken. I’m never going to complain about doing my job. I love what I do!
Essence.com: That’s a great attitude and work ethic. When we last spoke you expressed your hope that your sophomore album, Because of You, would allow your fans to get to know you better. Do you think you succeeded?
N.Y.: To a certain degree, but maybe not as much as I wanted to. I would even say this album was a bit schizophrenic because I did so many different kinds of songs. That doesn’t mean I didn’t enjoy the whole process—I just think I could have taken a little more time before I sprung all that I did on them.
Essence.com: So you’re saying your extreme diversity with various genres might have been premature?
N.Y.: Yeah, it might have been a little bit premature. I mean, the album went platinum, but just as far as my fans getting to know me better, I don’t think I accomplished that.
Essence.com: So did you draw that conclusion on your own, or based on the feedback from friends, family and fans?
N.Y.: A little bit of both and then my own feelings after I listened to it again. My friends and family told me that they liked the album, but it didn’t put them to the point where I was hoping to be. I want to connect with my fans the way Mary J. Blige’s fans connect with her. I hope to do that with my third album, which I plan to release toward the middle of this year. I’m going to take my time to figure out what it is I want the world to know about me.
Essence.com: Well as long as you don’t stay away too long. In this industry out of sight often means out of mind, but I don’t think that will ever be the case for you.
N.Y.: A lot of times when artists are rushing to put out projects it’s on some financial tip because they want to make money. But for me I’m not in any rush.
Essence.com: Of course not because you write for everyone so your cash is always steady!
N.Y.: (Laughs) Right, well, there you go, but as an artist my main goal is longevity. I’m not trying to be some fly-by-night dude, I want to be around for years to come.
Essence.com: Not with everyone requesting a Ne-Yo hit you won’t. What’s next for you in film and music?
N.Y.: I’m looking at other films, but the [writer’s] strike hit real hard so whatever might have been on the table was thrown back on the back burner. I’m definitely still looking for my next film. As far as artists, I’m working with Michael Jackson, Jennifer Hudson, Whitney Houston, Janet Jackson and then my company, Compound Entertainment, is putting out three new artists that I’ll be introducing—including two female R&B artists, Jovie and Chanells and then one male, D-Brown.
Essence.com: You’re a busy man. Let’s switch gears to address some of the rumors, like your beef with R. Kelly. I understand you are suing him?
N.Y.: As of right now, things are pending legally so I’m not at liberty to talk about the case. You know, I never have a problem talking about anything, but I’ve been advised not to discuss the case.
Essence.com: That’s understandable. Well, can you explain how your dismissal from the tour came about?
N.Y.: Well, it wasn’t even told to me directly by [R. Kelly]; he sent his people to tell me.
Essence.com: So do you think your affiliation with Jay-Z and Def Jam had anything to do with it, considering that they once toured together and didn’t complete the tour together?
N.Y.: I don’t think so, because if that were the case I wouldn’t have been on the tour to begin with. It’s no secret that I’m a Def Jam artist so I don’t think that had anything to do with it.
Essence.com: It’s been reported that you were asked to leave the tour because you upstaged him. Is that simply speculation?
N.Y.: Well, I’m the one who made that statement. I only did two shows in Columbus and Georgia. It was only the next day after the first two reviews came out and they gave me great reviews and his were not so positive.
Essence.com: Wow—so did you ever speak to R. Kelly about your dismissal?
N.Y.: Nope. That was another thing—as a man he showed me blatant disrespect. He never tried to come and speak to me, but he wouldn’t even have to come to me, I would have been willing to talk to him about it, but that never happened.
Essence.com: Had you met him prior to this tour?
N.Y.: No, I was on tour and I didn’t get to speak to that man. I didn’t see his face. He didn’t make an attempt to speak to me; it was as if it didn’t matter that I was there.
Essence.com: Well, what about during rehearsals?
N.Y.: Never.
Essence.com: Wow. So would you be willing to sit down and talk if he ever reached out to you?
N.Y.: Absolutely, I don’t hate R. Kelly. There won’t be no diss records—we don’t do that in R&B. Seriously, I looked up to R. Kelly as an artist, and still do, but I don’t have respect for him as a man. I was happy to join the tour. I’m a man, so I don’t disrespect other men. I would still be open to talk to him. But his not coming to me directly was blatant disrespect, because he didn’t even view me as someone important enough to show respect to by talking to me man-to-man. If you have issues with me, then be man enough to come to me personally, but instead he had his people do it and then they said it wasn’t him but that the promoters asked me to be removed from the tour and that’s b---sh--.
Essence.com: You’ve been the target of many rumors, but I love that you keep it moving. Let’s address the rumor regarding your financial dispute with your son’s mom, who was supposedly getting evicted due to your refusing to pay child support. Is that true?
N.Y.: There is truth to some of it. She was being evicted because I refused to pay her rent any longer once I found out her child was not my biological son. But I’ve been his father since the day he came on his earth so I told her anything he needs I got him, but you are a grown a-- woman with working arm and legs—ain’t nothing wrong with you so go get yourself a job.
Essence.com: Why in the world would she try to take you to court after you agreed to give financial support in raising her son?
N.Y.: She wasn’t happy with the amount I offered to give her and said, ‘No, I need more.’ So she decided to take me to court. I asked her why and told her she wouldn’t win because he was my not biological son. So I said, ‘Fine, you get nothing. Let’s go to court.’
Essence.com: Whoa! So why did you wait to get a blood test?
N.Y.: Well, she told me when she got pregnant that it could be between me and another guy, so I knew that from the beginning. When the baby was born everyone assumed that he was mine because he looked so much like me so no one really questioned it except my mother because she never trusted her and urged me to get a blood test.
Essence.com: How did that discovery affect you?
N.Y.: It hurt me for a minute, but you know....
Essence.com: Do you still see him?
N.Y.: No, because she doesn’t allow me to, so what can I do? As a mother she has the right, I don’t.
Essence.com: Fortunately, your mom encouraged you to get a blood test done. You’ve said that your mom always looks out and was even ready to knuckle up when rumors first surfaced about you being gay.
N.Y.: (Laughs) Yeah, my mom is my dawg. When she heard the rumors that I was gay she was like, ‘Who do I have to pay a visit? Who’s a-- do I have to kick?’
Essence.com: And your initial reaction to folks questioning your sexuality?
N.Y.: Honestly, when I first heard that there were rumors out there about me being gay I thought, ‘Wow someone must really hate me.’ There’s nothing wrong with being gay, but I just couldn’t understand why someone would make up lies like that. I remember speaking to Jay-Z about it and he was like, ‘Look, man you haven’t made it until someone says you’re gay.”
Essence.com: And what about now?
N.Y.: Nah, I don’t even think about that mess anymore. Once it’s said, it ain’t nothing you can do but ignore it.
Essence.com: Once you addressed the rumor that you and Hayden Panettiere (the cheerleader from Heroes) were dating and offered an explanation as to why there were photos of the two of you hand-in-hand—you were helping her out of her car so she wouldn’t mess up her shoes—they really continued with the gay comments.
N.Y.: (Laughs) Okay, so because I can respect a woman’s shoe game, and not to mention that I’ve bought a few pairs of shoes in the past for the women in life, that makes me gay? That’s hilarious.
Essence.com: Well, before you go, I have to go in the crate and dust off an old scandal regarding the photo, which shows you and a young lady being graphically intimate.
N.Y.: Oh yeah, that’s really old. Someone hacked into a phone and retrieved that photo and put it on the Internet.
Essence.com: So did the young lady freak out because she was caught in an uncompromising position?
N.Y.: Nah, I’m grown, she grown. I just need to be more careful where I put my personal things. Besides it’s grown-folks business. It ain’t the first photo and it sure won’t be the last.
Disabled But Dog-Gone Cute: 'Wheelie Pups'
Video:

PORT WASHINGTON, N.Y. (CBS) ― You're about to meet three adorable puppies with a disability. They were born without front paws, and this holiday they were blessed with an easier way to get around.
CBS station WCBS-TV recently got a chance to visit with "The Wheelie Pups."
At first glance they resemble tiny kangaroos, but Venus, Carmen and Pablo, are 11-month-old Chihuahuas born without front legs. They were rescued from a heartless "backyard" animal breeder in Virginia, and now adopted into a loving Long Island, N.Y. home.
"The day I first set eyes on them we were instantly bonded," said Donna Imhof, who adopted all three dogs. "So the dogs looked at me and said, 'We think we need help,' and I looked at them and said, 'I think I can help you,' so it's been a team."
Imhof, a medical worker at the North Shore Animal League, fell head over heels in love at first sight with the disabled pups when they arrived for emergency health care, unable to walk, move, or even properly eat.
"We suspect this is really due to the fact of inbreeding, and unfortunately what happens with breeders is that if the dog is not perfect it is of no value to them," said Devera Lynn of North Shore.
Venus, the smallest at 2 1/2 pounds, was first to be examined, X-rayed and evaluated. It was quickly determined she, along with brother Pablo and sister Carmen, were physically healthy. All they needed was mobility, as soon as their bones stopped growing.
One thousand dollars later, these three front-wheel drive aluminum carts were assembled with Velcro straps and polar fleece padding for comfortable body support. They also have lightweight foam wheels for easy maneuvering to keep them mobile.
"The strap is her seat belt," one technician said. "Everyone who drives must have a seat. So there we go …
"[The idea] is to give them a long happy life instead of a life full of pain or problems, so we're hoping to venture out for a nice long doggie walk."
The Chihuahuas' hind feet are deformed from the hopping and their spines are curved, but with these unique custom-made carts their futures are doggone bright.
The adopted Chihuahuas could live to age 20, and will still need orthopedic care throughout their lives.

JILL SCOTT ON FALLING IN LOVE AGAIN, POSING NUDE, HER FAILED MARRIAGE & WHY SHE'S HAPPY IN HER SKIN.

I know the Internet has been buzzing all day with folks wondering if Jill Scott is dating her Why Did I Get Married? love-interest, actor Lamman Rucker. I know this for a fact because I have never seen my email's inbox stuffed with so many inquiries from people wanting to know if it's true or not. I will say this though: Jill and Lamman--or as I like to call them, Jilly from Philly and Lamman from P-Burg, P.A.--are two very private people. Therefore and thus and such, when Jill and Lamman want you to know if they indeed have a real thing going on, they'll tell you. Until then, just enjoy speculating and remember, you can't believe everything you read...or can you? Anywhoo, Scott recently did an interview with the Jamaican Observer and dished details on several issues going on in her life right now including her failed marriage, why she's happy and content with her size, posing nude for Allure magazine (March '08), finding love, her new music and acting projects, embarking on a new tour and launching her own bra line, Butterfly.
JILL ON DIVORCING HER COMPANION OF 13 YEARS AND HUSBAND OF FIVE, LYZEL WILLIAMS: “I think it had a lot to do with us not being meant to work together, it was a poor choice. The line between our relationship and work got blurred, so we had very little personal time and were too concerned with business. And somehow my husband stopped being my husband.” On coping with the issue: "I go through everything that everybody else does, I get angry, upset, tired and annoyed but I try my best to remain positive at all times, because there is so much to be positive about. Some days are good; some days are not. It is a different brand of lonely that I am learning to deal with, but overall, I am happier than I have ever been, and that makes all the difference in the world. I have too much to offer as a person to live my life alone and not to be in love again.”
JILL ON WHY SHE'S HAPPY IN HER SKIN & WHY SHE LOVED POSING NUDE FOR ALLURE MAGAZINE: "I don’t think that I am a particularly big girl, clearly I am not a small girl, but I think I am an average-sized American woman. I have been blessed with family and friends who appreciate all sides of me. I did a nude photo shoot two days ago for Allure, which I loved. It was so empowering and after it was all done, I was congratulated by staff members of Allure for breaking the mold.”
AFTER THE JUMP, CONTINUE READING MORE MAGAZINE EXCERPTS & FIND OUT WHAT JILL SCOTT HAS IN STORE FOR 2008 BOTH MUSICALLY AND PROFESSIONALLY.
JILL ON HER PLANS FOR 2008 WHICH INCLUDES THE LAUNCH OF A NEW BRA LINE, BUTTERFLY: “I got big boobs and I need to be fly, I got tired of my shoulders hurting and marks being left in my skin from bras that weren’t designed for all of this, so I created my own.”
Scott, who has been nominated for 3 Grammys (Best R&B album, Best Female R&B Vocal Performance for Hate On Me and Best Urban/Alternative Performance for Daydreamin' feat. Lupe Fiasco) for her newest album, The Real Thing: Words and Sounds, Volume 3, has also announced the itinerary for her Real Thing tour, which kicks off Feb. 5 in Seattle and rolls through 23 cities before wrapping March 30 in Birmingham. Multiple stands are scheduled in Oakland (Feb. 7-8); Atlanta (Feb. 22-23) and Baltimore (Feb. 26-27). She'll perform for four consecutive nights at Washington D.C.'s Constitution Hall beginning March 11. See the entire schedule HERE.
She will continue to be the face of plus size clothing store Ashley Stewart until next year and has wrapped another movie called Number One Ladies Detective Agency.
BLIGE, 50 CENT, PERRY, WYCLEF IN STEROID PROBE: New report says singers and rappers among thousands who have either used or received illegal substance
*Mary J. Blige, 50 Cent, Wyclef Jean, Timbaland and Tyler Perry have been named in a steroid trafficking investigation that has exposed just how far its use has traveled beyond the world of sports.
Citing confidential sources, the Albany Times Union claims the artists are among tens of thousands of people found to have either used or received prescribed shipments of steroids and injectable human growth hormone (HGH) in recent years.
Authorities, however, say there is not enough evidence to accuse any of the singers, rappers and other customers of breaking any laws. Instead, the probe is an effort to shut down the flow of drugs by doctors, pharmacists and anti-aging clinics that made the drugs accessible to their famous clients.
The Times Union says it gained access to records from several unnamed cooperating witnesses on Long Island, New York, that reportedly indicate that human growth hormone or steroids were shipped to Blige and the others — sometimes under fictitious names — at hotels, production studios, private residences, an upscale Manhattan fitness club and through the Long Island office of chiropractor Michael Diamond.
Diamond, who has not been identified as a target in the case or accused of breaking any laws, helps run an anti-aging program at Clay Gym in Manhattan.
The New York Daily News contacted Blige's camp for comment and was told by her rep that the allegations are false.
"Mary J. Blige has never taken any performance-enhancing illegal steroids," spokeswoman Karynne Tencer told the Daily News.

VIVICA A. FOX CLAIMS THERE IS NO SEX TAPE: Actress says if one existed, she'd be trying to profit from it herself.

*Film and TV star Vivica A. Fox is denying that she is the woman featured in a sex tape that has been circulating on the Internet.
"Vivica does not have a sex tape. If I did, I would be making my own money off of it," the actress told People magazine Saturday night at the taping of the inaugural BET Honors in Washington, D.C.
The video in question shows a man receiving oral sex from a woman he claims is Fox. The man, as the story goes, filmed the act and then distributed the footage to his friends, which eventually got back to Fox. The actress allegedly contacted a friend in the police department for advice on how to handle the situation.
Atlanta radio personality Porsche Foxx reportedly confirmed the story, calling Fox her friend and expressing a labored decision on whether to go public with the story.
The "Kill Bill" star didn't comment directly on the latter part of the rumor, but reaffirmed to People: "As a 43-year-old woman, I would never allow a man to put me in that position. If you see me having a love scene, it's going to be choreographed in a movie, and be fabulous."
As for her no contest plea to DUI charges last December, Fox says she's learned a valuable lesson: "Hire a driver."
"I gave Nicole Richie that advice – hire a driver," she says. "It's a lesson I definitely learned. No one is above the law."
Bravo announced Real Housewives of New York City and its cast
As it promised to do last year, Bravo is expanding its The Real Housewives of Orange County into a franchise, announcing the debut and cast of The Real Housewives of New York City. The new series debuts March 4 at 11 p.m. ET, and will air on subsequent Tuesdays at 10.
“The series will feature an elite and powerful set of New York socialites as they juggle their careers and home lives with busy calendars packed with charity fund-raising galas, the social whirl of the Hamptons, and interviews for elite private schools,” Bravo said in a press release.
The five women are Alex McCord (“a high-powered career woman juggling two children, a husband, and a thriving social calendar”), Bethenny Frankel (“a single socialite in her 30’s with a burgeoning career as a natural foods chef, a wealthy Wall Street boyfriend with three children, and is a staple on the New York social scene”), Jill Zarin (“a regular on the Manhattan social circuit, as well as an accomplished businesswoman and a talented photographer”), LuAnn de Lesseps (“a real-life Countess. Her husband, Alexandre Count de Lesseps, is a French aristocrat”), and Ramona Singer (who “owns her own business, R.M.S. Fashions, a jewelry line, truefaithjewelry.com, a clothing line ‘True Faith,’ and is developing a skin care line as well”).
If the name Bethenny Frankel sound familiar, that’s because she was the runner-up on The Apprentice: Martha Stewart, which the Bravo press release notes

New York says it’s not her in sex tape, but that she’d admit it if it was
A sex tape posted online is not of Tiffany “New York” Pollard, she says, and the editor of the web site that posted it is now backing away from its insistence that it is her. “It is absolutely not me. Do I strike you as the kind of woman who would have a sex tape floating around out there and not be standing by that tape?” she told the New York Post.
She says that if it was her, she’d gladly admit it. “I’m a strong black woman and if I did something like this I would ‘fess up. If I had a sex tape, I’d say when I did it and who I did it with — I have nothing to hide. Nobody runs my world other than myself and whatever I do in this lifetime, good or bad, I will own it and I will not own that tape because it’s not me. Look at Paris Hilton or Kim Kardashian, they have sex tapes and it catapulted them into the limelight. A sex tape today does not equal disaster. If I did have a sex tape, I wouldn’t deny it.”
Tiffany says she might sue MediaTakeOut.com, the site that posted the video clip. “I want them to suffer. It is not me on that tape and they’re going to get what they deserve.” Fred Mwangaguhunga, the site’s editor, told the Post, “MediaTakeOut.com was told that the woman in the video is Tiffany ‘New York’ Pollard. And while we can’t be 100 percent sure, it sure as heck looks like New York.”
Perhaps he should have written that in the story, instead of stating unequivocally that it was true and then backing away from that later. The story said “MediaTakeOut.com managed to get its hands on an explicit tape of Tiffany ‘New York’ Pollard and one of our readers. According to our reader, he and New York met up at a Miami club a few months ago and the two of them had a … A-HEM … romantic encounter together. It’s not clear whether New York was aware that they’re encounter was being taped.”

American Idol 7 debuts tonight
Tonight at 8, The CW repeats the first episode of Reaper, ABC airs new episodes of its hidden camera series Just for Laughs, CBS will air a new NCIS, and NBC runs with a new episode of The Biggest Loser 5. Oh, and FOX debuts American Idol 7 at 8 p.m. ET, and I think I’m supposed to say something about it “crushing the competition” and being “highly anticipated” especially due to the writers’ strike.
The truth is, the series is coming off its weakest season yet, one that left tour venues empty and extra copies of the winner’s debut CD. Even the producers acknowledge last season’s weakness and have made minor changes as a result, such as allowing people to audition with instruments and more personal stories.
So going into the finale, there are two possibilities. Has the show passed its peak, destined to be a popular series but no longer a phenomenon? Or did it just have a bad year? I think it’s the former, and while the writers’ strike could impact the show, other network have always moved their most compelling shows out of the way of Idol, so it’s not like the show suddenly lacks timeslot competition for the first time.
There’s one group of people salivating all over themselves for the debut, and that’s the media. Even those who can’t stand the show (ahem) know that writing about it is like offering cocaine to a fetus. As a result, most journalists have either drunk the optimism Kool-Aid or are just doing what they can to feed from the trough. Many of the many pieces written in advance of the new season repeat the same information, especially quotations from executive producer Nigel Lythgoe, who has spent the past few months saying exactly the same thing to any reporter who wants to hear it.

January 14, 2008. There's a rumor traveling around the entertainment industry that talk show host Tyra Banks may be pregnant. We know, we know, there's always a Tyra pregnancy rumor - but it's starting to look like this rumor may actually have some truth to it.

Solange is giving advice to teen mothers, especially soon to be mother Jamie Lynn Spears

“I have been so blessed that my son is the coolest kid ever,” Solange tells World Entertainment News Network of son, Daniel Julez J. Smith. ”Of course, that first year of not sleeping and just being dedicated to him had tough parts.” But Solange is confident that 16-year-old Jamie Lynn will man-up, or should that read mom-up, in the coming months. “I’ve heard stories of people who were 14 that had kids and basically snapped into it and got into the groove of motherhood,” she says. “A lot of people have doubts, but when you have a child I think it takes a really non-emotional person not to have a blast, no matter what age.”
Victory, no tip

AFTER beating the Dallas Cowboys in Texas Sunday night, the Giants hopped on a private jet, flew home and partied at Home nightclub. Plaxico Burress, Antonio Pierce and Ruben Droughns ordered bottles of Grey Goose vodka, Bacardi and champagne. Adoring fans at the club sent over more bottles of champagne and were chanting, "Gi-ants! Gi-ants!" The trio stayed until closing and paid their $1,000 bill — but in all the excitement, forgot to tip their waitress.
KIMORA & DJIMON IN HARPER’S BAZAAR

Check out Kimora Lee Simmons and her boyfriend model/actor Djimon Hounsou in a recent issue of Harpar’s Bazaar. The good looking couple spoke about their relationship in the mag. Djimon insists that Kimora isn’t as how maintenance as people think and Kimora says that he is “compelling and sweet.” Here a few snippets:
Djimon on Kimora
“My first impression has always been the same: that she’s a beautiful lady, very capable and intelligent and smart with great family values. You see her reality show, and some would call her a quote-unquote high-maintenance lady. Some people may look at it as if it’s a honeymoon stage, but she’s the least high-maintenance lady I’ve ever dated. I’ll bet my hand on that. Or however you say it.”
Kimora on Djimon
“He’s a reality check for me, and I’m a fabulosity check for him,” Kimora says. “After my breakup, I thought, I don’t need anything. Russell used to tell me, ‘You look good, you’re wealthy, you’re young, you have kids. Screw the world.’ And I kind of started to believe that. But now I have someone who has the heart, the soul, and the hotness. Who knows? I could be eating my words later, but I really doubt it. If people were betting, they would bet their good money on Djimon.”

SWAPPING NUMBERS
“When you’re not looking, that’s when it happens,” Kimora says with such authority that, though many people have said so before, it seems true only when it comes out of her mouth. “And I have a lot of hang-ups in life with men. I’m not very trusting,” she says enigmatically. “Rightfully so. Read between the lines.”
So Kimora gave Djimon her number. “I’m very good at exchanging numbers with people for business, and that’s what I did,” Kimora recalls. “He said, ‘Are you really going to use that number, or are you going to use it for business?’ That made me think, Oh.” Her eyes dance.
A few days later, Djimon texted her; she called him immediately. “I’m so over that new thing of talking to everyone on the pager,” Kimora says. “I’m much more into old-world, intimate conversations on the phone. I like to write letters.”
